Mandatory-payout Rainbow 6 play for March, 3, 2024, at Gulfstream Park
?q=100)
RACE 6: RO TOWN is stepping up in class again while seeking her third straight score and should be a speed threat in her debut on turf, for which she’s well bred on the dam’s side. Probable 2023 Canadian champion 3-year-old filly ELYSIAN FIELD, who won the restricted Woodbine Oaks, is a good fit at this level, but she might need one off the five-month layoff. TEXAS SHUFFLE ran second to future Tropical Oaks winner Be My Sunshine in her penultimate start before a belated fourth when a little more was anticipated in her latest. (3)
RACE 7: ON COMMAND is adding Lasix off a stalking second going six furlongs at Churchill and shouldn’t mind moving out to seven furlongs for good second-out trainer Rusty Arnold. VINCEY GIRL improved with Lasix in her second trip postward and should pose a challenge with Paco Lopez taking over. NEAT TRICK got the highest Beyer in the field when fourth on debut, but she got dusted by Grade 2 Remsen victor Dornoch in a recent work and could regress. SEDONA, a $2 million yearling purchase, is a full sister to Grade 3-winning router First Captain. Her Payson Park works were not flashy, but this maiden special doesn’t look imposing at face value. RACE 8: IVORY MOON graduated on the front end two back off a layoff, but a troubled beginning led to her downfall most recently when a well-beaten favorite at this level. QUALY landed on the edges behind three next-out winners after a bumpy start and a wide trip in a Jan. 1 turf experiment. RUN FOR THE HILLS has been knocking on the door since arriving from Woodbine and should be a factor with her versatile running style. STAR CANDY is another Mark Casse-trained runner from Woodbine with a chance in the third race of her form cycle. (4)
RACE 9: ENSIGN PARKER has run two solid races since returning to Gulfstream – a victory at this level and a troubled third among three next-out winners most recently in a fast starter/optional claimer. BIRD WILDCAT also scored at this level going seven furlongs in her penultimate outing and is dropping off a fade job. CACCIATORE earned a big 88 Beyer when drilling Florida-bred/$40,000 maidens when returning from a break. First-time gelding CATTIN and MAUNA KEA BOUND are two more possibilities. (5)

RACE 10: SIR LONDON was gelded after a flat fourth in a rich allowance at Keeneland in October and has been working encouragingly at Palm Meadows for accomplished layoff trainer Graham Motion. SCRAMBLE, another talented comebacker, nearly cleared the first allowance condition at Saratoga after running competitively against the likes of Kalik and Program Trading at Belmont. (2)
RACE 11: JESSAMINE HILL rallied outside from the back of the pack for second behind a nice prospect when debuting around two turns on the Tapeta, over which she worked brilliantly the other day. She has a quality turf pedigree on the dam’s side and a successful second-out trainer in Mark Casse, who has won three races at the meet when using Edgard Zayas. (1)
THE PLAY = 1, 4, 12 / 1, 2, 5, 6 / 1, 2, 3, 7 / 1, 3, 6, 7, 8 / 3, 4 / 6 = $96 ticket
