Malibu Moon mare Come Dancing earns high Beyer for 2019

The Malibu Moon mare Come Dancing earned the top Beyer Speed Figure of 2019 when she won the Grade 3 Distaff Handicap on Saturday at Aqueduct.
Come Dancing coasted by 7 ¾ lengths, stopping the clock in 1:22.31 for the seven furlongs. The effort earned a Beyer of 114 – topping the 112 City of Light earned when he won the Pegasus World Cup in January.
According to Daily Racing Form’s Beyer Sire Performance Standings, six of Malibu Moon’s offspring have earned benchmark Beyer Speed Figures of 90 or higher this season. Come Dancing is the first to break through with a triple-digit number this year for the Spendthrift Farm stallion.
Come Dancing, who was a Grade 3-placed stakes winner last season, is out of the Grade 2-winning Tiznow mare Tizahit. This is the family of Eclipse Award champion juvenile filly Folklore.
