HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Majestic Oops became the second Breeders’ Cup Distaff starter to win their seasonal debut at Oaklawn Park in less than a week on Friday, darting to a 3 1/4-length victory over Asternia in the $150,000 American Beauty. It was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third to Benedetta. The American Beauty was a six-furlong race for fillies and mares. Nitrogen, who was second in last year’s BC Distaff, launched her 4-year-old season last Saturday at Oaklawn and won the Grade 3 Bayakoa. Majestic Oops ($6), who was ninth in the BC Distaff, began her 6-year-old season Friday. She settled off the pace as Gloriette and Asternia raced through fractions of 22.05 seconds for the opening quarter-mile and 45.31 for the half.   :: Access the most trusted data and information in horse racing! She increased her advantage from there, covering the distance on a fast track in 1:09.52.  Francisco Arrieta was aboard for trainer Dan Ward.
