Lumpkins: DQ, no suspension

FLORENCE, Ky. - Jason Lumpkins, who has dominated the Turfway Park jockey standings throughout the winter-spring meet, will not be suspended for his role in the disqualification of Golden Marlin from the $150,000 Bourbonette Breeders' Cup Stakes on Saturday, said Mickey Sample, a Turfway steward.

Lumpkins was aboard Golden Marlin, the 5-2 favorite, when she finished first in the Bourbonette, but the stewards ruled the filly was guilty of bumping and impeding Adopted Daughter in midstretch, and Adopted Daughter was awarded the victory.
