Wayne Lukas tested positive for the coronavirus recently and has been quarantined in his Louisville-area home, according to a Twitter post on Wednesday by his grandson Brady Lukas. :: To stay up to date, follow us on: Facebook | Instagram | Twitter Lukas “has since been isolating at home and following CDC and health-care provider recommendations,” wrote the younger Lukas. “Fortunately, he had not been at work for several days prior to the first symptom, so no one else at the barn is impacted. Wayne is on the road to recovery and looks forward to getting back to the track.” D. Wayne Lukas, who will turn 85 on Sept. 2, did not take his stable to Saratoga this summer for the first time in many years, remaining instead at Churchill Downs. He has won 14 Triple Crown events and 20 Breeders’ Cup races in a storybook career of more than four decades.
