Loveberry perfect partner for Haveyougoneaway in Spring Fever

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Jockey Jareth Loveberry not only fits Haveyougoneaway as a rider, he also fits into her world. Haveyougoneaway, who seeks to win her second straight stakes race at the Oaklawn meet in Saturday’s $100,000 Spring Fever, does not let a lot of folks in, trainer Allen Milligan said, but a significant exception is Loveberry.
“It’s a love-love relationship,” Milligan said. “It’s unbelievable. Jareth can be on the racetrack to work a horse, she’ll be galloping by, and he’ll holler at her, and she’ll turn her head. When he comes through the barn, she runs to the front of the stall.”
Haveyougoneaway and Loveberry were in perfect harmony through the stretch in last month’s $100,000 American Beauty, where she got up for a neck win over Grade 2 winner Sarah Sis.
A host of new rivals have converged on Hot Springs for the 5 1/2-furlong Spring Fever for fillies and mares, including Fair Grounds shippers Pleasant Tales, Warriorscmoutoplay, and Thirteen Arrows. In addition, High Dollar Woman, the winner of last year’s Grade 2 Indiana Oaks, will be making her first start since August.

Last 3 Beyers: 93-69-87
◗ Haveyougoneaway has won two stakes in her last three starts, with her lone loss during that time coming when fifth to Thirteen Arrows in the $108,000 Zia Park Distaff on Nov. 25 in New Mexico. It was a rare venture from home for Haveyougoneaway.
“Turns out she’s just not a shipper,” Milligan said. “You just can’t ship and run her. She kind of needs to be settled in and training where she’s running. She’s getting a hold of this racetrack very good, and she’s getting a lot of confidence about what she’s doing.”
◗ Haveyougoneaway will break from post 7.
“Hopefully, there’s enough speed that they’ll come back to us a little,” said Milligan.

◗ Thirteen Arrows, who is a front-runner, has won six of 10 career starts. She races for Fox Hill Farm. Ramon Vazquez has the mount for trainer Larry Jones.
