Louisiana Downs: Two for 'Bayou'

J. D.'s Blue Bayou picked up his second consecutive stakes win at Louisiana Downs with a strong rally down the center of the track under C.J. Woodley to win the $54,540 Alpine.

Logan's Draw also turned in a late charge to finish second, 1 3/4 lengths back, followed by Dreamsandvisions in third.

The late charge of J. D.'s Blue Bayou ($4.20), trained by Tropy Young, was similar to the one he turned in to win the Arcadia Stakes on June 5. Saturday's win was his sixth in 15 starts and he has now earned over $170,000. The final time for the six furlongs was 1:10.17 over a fast strip.
