BOSSIER CITY, La. - She’s Prado’s Idol is becoming a star in her native Louisiana. She picked up the fourth stakes win of her career on Saturday, when she defeated older rivals and open company in the $100,000 River Cities at Louisiana Downs.

The race was one of six stakes on a card led by the Grade 2, $500,000 Super Derby. Purses for the races totaled more than $1 million.

She’s Prado’s Idol, who came into the River Cities off a win in the $75,000 Louisiana Cup Oaks at Louisiana Downs, was a three-quarter-length winner over She’s All In, the race’s defending champ and favorite who won a photo over third-place finisher Jiggy Jo. She’s Prado’s Idol rallied from just off the pace in the mile and a sixteenth turf race for fillies and mares, covering the distance on firm ground in 1:43.29.

“She’s a good filly,” said Garland Goins, who owns and trains She’s Prado’s Idol.

Goins said She’s Prado’s Idol, who was ridden by John Jacinto, would head back to the Louisiana-bred ranks for her next start. She is being pointed for the $100,000 Magnolia for fillies and mares at a mile at Delta Downs on Oct. 26. From there, she will target a race on the annual Louisiana Champions Day card at Fair Grounds.

She’s Prado’s Idol has now won 7 of 11 starts and $275,320. She is a 3-year-old daughter of Screen Idol, a multiple stakes winner in Louisiana and a son of Zarbyev.

* Global Power ($11.20) gave trainer Tom Amoss his second stakes win on the card in the $100,000 Unbridled, when he wired the field in the mile and a sixteenth turf race for 3-year-olds and up. Golden Yank rallied for second, beaten a length and a quarter, while it was another length back in third to String King. Earlier on the card, Amoss also won the $50,000 Temperence Hill with Delaunay, who wired a field that included Breeders’ Cup Sprint prospect Gantry. Richard Eramia rode Global Power, who won in 1:41.83, for Luch Racing Stable.

* Eramia, the leading rider at Louisiana Downs, came right back to win his second stakes on the card in the $150,000 Sunday Silence, when Java’s War ($5.40) rallied from eighth to catch Brown Almighty nearing the wire in the one-mile turf race for 2-year-olds. Java’s War won by a neck over favorite Brown Almighty, while it was another 4 3/4 lengths back in third to Kamchatka. Java’s War came into the Sunday Silence off a maiden special weight win at a mile on turf at Ellis Park. He was making his first start on Lasix. Java’s War races for Charles Fipke and is trained by Ken McPeek.

* Always Kitten ($4.80) won her maiden in the $100,000 Happy Ticket for 2-year-old fillies, when she rallied from seventh for a 1 1/2-length score over Fleet Dawn. It was another half-length back in third to Courtney’s Hope. Mike Smith rode the winner for Kenneth and Sarah Ramsey and trainer Mike Maker. Always Kitten, in her second career start, covered a mile on firm turf in 1:37.93.

* The Happy Ticket was the final leg of an all-stakes pick four that ran from races 8-11 and included the Super Derby won by Bourbon Courage. It paid $330.80. The bet had a $100,000 guarantee, and the final pool was $235,282. The winning numbers were 2-7-9-6/12.
