Los Alamitos launches YouTube channel to broadcast races

Los Alamitos recently launched a YouTube channel to broadcast its evening meeting on Saturdays and Sundays, an effort to enhance coverage following the end of a nightly program on FanDuel TV earlier this summer.

Racing from Los Alamitos had a heavy presence on FanDuel TV on weekend evenings since the late 1990s, but the network discontinued the program at the end of June. FanDuel TV has greatly reduced its ontrack coverage and plans to cease all programming in that capacity later this year. Races from Los Alamitos are still shown on FanDuel TV but without consistent ontrack commentary between races.

The Los Alamitos Youtube channel can be found at @losalqh, which also contains archives of past programs and previews of upcoming races. The track’s year-round evening meetings consists of races for Quarter Horses and lower-level Thoroughbreds.

Commentators Jose Contreras and Eulices Gomez, who were on the previous FanDuel TV programming from Los Alamitos, will continue as hosts.
