Los Alamitos has mandatory pick six payout on final day of meet
CYPRESS, Calif. - The $2 pick six has a mandatory payout on Sunday’s closing day of the Los Alamitos September meeting, and starts with a carryover of $56,125 from Saturday.
The pool of new money on Sunday may exceed $300,000.
The pick six covers the sixth through 11th races on a program that begins at 12:30 p.m. Pacific.
The sequence of races in the pick six consists of an allowance race for California-breds at six furlongs, a $50,000 claimer for maidens at six furlongs, a $20,000 claimer for maidens at a mile, a $6,250 claimer at five furlongs, the $75,000 Capote Stakes for 2-year-olds at six furlongs, and a $12,500 claimer at 5 1/2 furlongs.
Before scratches, the pick six races have fields of 11, 6, 6, 9, 5 and 8.
