Los Alamitos to allow fans ontrack starting April 2
Los Alamitos will resume hosting customers at its evening meeting beginning on April 2, the track announced on its website.
The decision comes after Santa Anita announced last weekend that it plans to reopen for customers on the same day, following guidance for outdoor sporting events during the pandemic from government officials.

Los Alamitos will open its Vessels Club and mezzanine level patio as well as the outdoor grandstand apron, the statement said. Indoor wagering and seats will remained closed.
Customers must wear face coverings and respect social distancing protocols. The track has not had customers since mid-March of 2020 because of the pandemic. There has been a limited number of owners in attendance in recent months at the evening meeting of Quarter Horses and lower-level Thoroughbreds.
Los Alamitos is currently open to the public for daytime simulcasting.
