Lookin to Strike fresh, fit for return

There‘s no stakes on Sunday’s 11-race card, but a second-level optional-claiming sprint lured a classy field of eight, including Lookin to Strike, who won the Grade 3 Ontario Derby in 2018.
Lookin to Strike was winless in five starts in 2019, but he lost his season opener by just a nose after working up a storm prior to that five-furlong allowance on the inner turf. He went on to finish ninth in the Presque Isle Downs Mile and seventh in the Grade 2 Nearctic before another narrow loss in allowance company Nov. 2.
Lookin to Strike has been idle since a distant fifth in a Feb. 7 optional claimer at Tampa, but has been working fast on the Tapeta, like he did before his 2019 opener.
Lookin to Strike is trained by Mark Casse, who also entered the speedy Explorationist.
