Longshot Shesagrumptoo draws clear in Sadie Hawkins

Shesagrumptoo upset a field of seven West Virginia-registered-and-accredited fillies and mares in the $50,000 Sadie Hawkins on Saturday evening at Charles Town.

Jockey Oliver Castillo kept the 7-year-old mare just off the early pace in the seven-furlong race and asked Shesagrumptoo for run in upper stretch. She responded, drawing clear late to win by 1 1/4 lengths. Pacesetting Here Comes Oonga settled for second, 1 1/4 lengths in front of Saxet Heights in third.

Shesagrumptoo returned $58 to win as the longest priced horse in the race. She ran the seven furlongs in 1.26.40.
