Little Chesney surges late to win Jupiter Beach

Little Chesney burst between horses late to win the $75,000 Jupiter Beach by 1 3/4 lengths over Starship Wildcat on Sunday at Gulfstream Park.
It was another half-length back to Diddley in third.
The Jupiter Beach was a five-eighths of a mile turf race for 3-year-olds and up who had not won a stakes in 2018.
Little Chesney ($18.60) broke well and was content to let the speed go, riding the rail as Go Gone Gone took the field through an opening quarter in 21.34 seconds. Little Chesney angled out in the stretch, came between rivals in the later stages, and covered the distance on firm ground in 56.21 seconds.
Samy Camacho was aboard for trainer Carlo Vaccarezza.
Little Chesney is a son of City Zip who has now won four of 10 starts. He races for the partnership of Nicholas Vaccarezza and Micheal A. Pietrangelo.
