Turf routers often run well off the layoff, and Flying Zee Stable - the leading owner at Saratoga last year with eight wins - often has their turf routers ready to fire when fresh. Harlanquin has not been out since finishing ninth at 87-1 on this same Mellon (outer) course at the Spa 51 weeks ago, but the quality of opposition he faced in that maiden special-weight race, and two previous turf races for that matter, was light years better than what he faces in this maiden-claiming event.
