Litfin: Saratoga pick three play for Thursday, July 30

For those playing the pick five and the early pick four, Thursday’s fifth race will be a blind item. But I’ll use the turf sprint for maiden 2-year-old fillies as a starting-off point for an all-turf pick three play, casting a wide net and looking to get a price home.

5th race: She’s Worth It (3) sold for more than eight times the stud fee of her sire, Tale of the Cat, and is being unveiled by Joe Sharp, who has done well with turf sprinters since going out on his own, notably with Shore Runner, who is 2 for 2 off the claim after taking Monday’s Lucky Coin Stakes. I have a hunch she’ll take money. I'm also using well-connected newcomers Tin Type Gal (2), Kentucky Road (5), Conquest Sarahstar (6), Country Muse (9) and Catch a Glimpse (10).

6th race: Wealth Creation (5) and Rock Me Again (8) are in a dead heat based on their turf races in June, while Right On Kitten (1) and Arctic Ocean (3) have some things to recommend them as well.

7th race: Taking a stand with Justlookatmenow (8), who has been away since some trouble at Pimlico on May 16. She goes first time for a tag, and ran well in allowance company when similarly fresh at Gulfstream despite lacking room in the stretch behind a winner who came back to take a small stakes.
