Litfin: Aqueduct pick four play for Sunday, Dec. 6

Dave Litfin|Dec 05, 2015

We’ll try to pick up some holiday spending money by attacking Sunday’s early pick four at Aqueduct.

Race 2

A potential speed duel looms between IRISH WHISPER (3) and BILEAPS AND BOUNDS (4), which could set things up nicely for dropdown HERE’S ZEALICIOUS (5).

A – 5
B – 3, 4

Race 3

CLASSY TEACHER (3) is the lone entrant in this grassy maiden route that hasn’t already lost for the $40,000 claiming price (or less). MATTY’S WONDERGIRL (1) gets the rail third time back from a layoff for David Donk, whose horses always seem to run well on this course. BALQAA (5) ships in and figures close off her initial two-turn try at Laurel.

A – 3
B – 1, 5

Race 4

Possibilities abound in a maiden special weight sprint in which none of the experienced fillies has come close to the 74 Beyer Speed Figure par. We’ll cover NABEELAH (3), THUNDERING SKY (8), and BLUE BAHIA (9), but on the blind, we’ve got to take newbies AVENDESORA (6) and SILVER SIDNEY (7) as well.

A – 3, 8, 9
B – 6, 7

Race 5

RED GUARD (4) returned from 10 months on the sidelines with two good efforts recently and advances to the next step after a decisive maiden win on yielding turf. ROSS J DAWG (3) and INDEBTED (8) also handle some cut in the ground.

A – 4
B – 3, 8
