Fairly large and competitive fields (9x10x8x11) with some vulnerable-looking morning-line favorites make Saturday’s $200,000 guaranteed late pick four worth delving into.

6th race – LOOKING COOL (3) may run back to his good effort first off the claim after having been victimized by a slow pace in last. LIFE’S REWARD (4) and FINN’S QUEST (7) were haltered from good efforts on the main track. GRANDPA LEN (8) is an intriguing reclaim by Michelle Nevin two back.

7th race – LEAVE THE LIGHT ON (1) is used only defensively first out since riding a gold rail to victory in the 2014 Remsen. FARHAAN (2) and NORTH SLOPE (4) have been off form lately, but are stakes winners on the inner track for Kiaran McLaughlin, and could get a pace setup. DANCE CHAMPION (7) was last seen in April smashing preliminary allowance foes at Keeneland; up from Payson Park. INTEGRITY (8) is going well now; ran second to Effinex on the inner last winter.

8th race – FLIPCUP (3) is lengths better on Polytrack and will be overbet. SAYTHREEHAILMARY’S (4) closed well behind SHERIFFA (6) at seven furlongs on the main track. STORIED LADY (7) won this race a year ago at 6-1 and will be a price again. TEMPER MINT PATTY (8) is no bargain from the outside post, but back with her own kind.

9th race – GUARANTEED (5), GUARDIAN (9) and GAMING (11) are closely matched based on their best races, but none has come close to the Beyer Figure par, which opens the door for first-time starters like KINER’S KORNER (2), SHOOTOUT (4) and FUMIN NEWMAN (8).
