Lincoln: Top weight for 'Intrusion'

LINCOLN, Neb. - Real Intrusion carries high weight of 122 pounds in a field of eight in the $15,000-added Matchmaker Handicap for Nebraska-bred fillies and mares at one mile.

Real Intrusion won the Orphan Kist Handicap at Fonner Park and the Bluegrass Handicap here while sprinting and should be favored Saturday for leading trainer David Anderson. Jerry Carkeek rides from post 8.

Last year's winner of this race, Double Dreamin Deb, races as an entry with Magic Trump for trainer Herb Riecken. Double Dreamin Deb has not won since this race last year. She has Dan Beck named from post 1.

Irish Flyer, also winless this year, rates a shot at the upset after facing males in the Big Red Mile Handicap here May 26. She faded to sixth that day but made the pace for most of the race. Last year, Irish Flyer won three stakes races.
