Lincoln: Rematch of Baxter 1-2

Reach One More and Tidal Storm, the one-two finishers in the March 28 Baxter Stakes at Fonner Park, meet in a field of six 3-year-olds going six furlongs in the $15,000 Journal Star Stakes at State Fair Park.

Reach One More is the likely favorite in the Journal Star, having defeated Tidal Storm by three-quarters of a length in the Baxter. He made his last start in the $25,000 Fonner Park Special on April 18, winning by 2 3/4 lengths. He will again have Mike Ziegler aboard.

Reach One More runs as part of an uncoupled entry for trainer David Anderson with King Tymatt, who was a distant fourth in the Baxter. Trainer Kim Veerhusen also sends out an uncoupled entry in Tidal Storm and California invader Making Dreams.

Tidal Storm will be making his first start since the Baxter. He has a maiden win and a pair of runner-up finishes in stakes company since arriving from Turfway Park early this year. Jesus Ponce will be aboard Tidal Storm.

S C Big City and Making Dreams should provide the speed in the race. Making Dreams has been facing claiming company in Southern California. S C Big City won his maiden last out on closing weekend at Fonner Park.
