LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Friday’s $70,893 Kelly’s Landing Stakes at Churchill Downs was all about triples, with victorious Limousine Liberal notching his third consecutive stakes victory, all at the spring meet, and jockey Robby Albarado sweeping the card's three stakes races.

Limousine Liberal escaped early traffic and stalked the leaders down the backstretch of the seven-furlong race. He advanced without urging, took command in early stretch, and pulled clear to win by 2 3/4 lengths.

In victory Limousine Liberal ($4) joined Finley’sluckycharm – who won a series of sprint stakes for fillies and mares – as a three-time stakes winner at the spring Churchill meet. The last horse to win three stakes at the meet was Lunar Pal, who swept the Kentucky Juvenile, Kentucky Breeders’ Cup, and Bashford Manor in 2004.

A 5-year-old gelding by Successful Appeal owned by co-breeder Katherine Ball, Limousine Liberal raced seven furlongs on a sloppy track in 1:23.08.

The Truth Or Else rallied from last to grab second, edging comebacking The Player by a neck.

Winner of the Grade 2 Churchill Downs Stakes on the Kentucky Derby undercard and the Grade 3 Aristides June 3, Limousine Liberal is now being pointed for Saratoga in search of the first Grade 1 victory in the Alfred G. Vanderbilt July 29, trainer Ben Colebrook said.
