Lil Perfect Storm live in Little Ones

Ten 2-year-old Michigan-bred colts and geldings will compete in the six-furlong, $50,000 Little Ones Stakes at Great Lakes Downs Sunday evening. Great Lakes Downs is running Sunday instead of Labor Day, with a 5 p.m. first post. Post time for the Little Ones, the sixth race on the card, is 7 p.m.

Lil Perfect Storm, owned by Tracy Davidson and Del Waite and trained by Waite, will be looking to raise his career record to 2 for 2 in the Little Ones. He won his maiden in his debut on July 12 under jockey Freddie Mata, who has accepted a return ride on Lil Perfect Storm, who breaks from post 6.

Sheikhs Dynasty ships in from Mountaineer Park for trainer John Semer. He is the only horse in the field to have raced at five furlongs. He won his maiden at 5 1/2 furlongs on July 23 here. Felipe Santos will ride Sheikhs Dynasty, who drew the rail.
