Lil Allie Dancer aims to rebound from lone career loss
Lil Allie Dancer is unbeaten around two turns and will get back to that configuration Friday night in the $75,000 Equine Sales Oaks at Evangeline Downs. She is attempting to rebound from her lone career loss and will be part of an eight-horse field that includes stakes winner Flashy Appeal.
The Equine Sales Oaks is a new stakes restricted to graduates of auctions put on by the nearby Equine Sales Co. It will be run at 1 1/16 miles and is restricted to 3-year-old fillies. The inaugural Equine Sales Derby will be run Saturday at Evangeline.

◗ She won the first three races of her career at Delta Downs, all at two turns on the track’s six-furlong oval. Her debut in a maiden special weight came at 6 1/2 furlongs Feb. 5, and from there, she won allowances Feb. 24 and March 9.
◗ Lil Allie Dancer moved to one turn for the $50,000 Cajun Miss over seven furlongs April 8 at Evangeline and, after dueling, ended up sixth behind Blip n’ Th Bye. The winner was set to run Friday in the Grade 2 Eight Belles at Churchill Downs.
◗ Lil Allie shows a pair of five-eighths works in preparation for the move back to two turns. Trainer Sam Breaux has given the mount to Diego Saenz.
