Letta's Legacy picks up first stakes victory in Miranda Diane
Letta’s Legacy became a stakes winner Monday, winning by a neck over Artistic Vision in the $55,000 Miranda Diane at Will Rogers Downs. It was another length back to Take Me Serious in third.
The six-furlong race was for fillies and mares bred in Oklahoma.
Letta’s Legacy ($5.80) settled just off a contested pace, with Catale Winemixer, Take Me Serious, and Artistic Vision dueling down the backside. Take Me Serious and Artistic Vision continued to spar past the quarter pole and into the stretch as Letta’s Legacy worked her way past the pair in the late stages.
The winner covered the distance on a fast track in 1:10.94. There were no fractional times available.
Alfredo Triana Jr. was aboard Letta’s Legacy. The daughter of Practical Joke races for her breeder and trainer, C.R. Trout. She is now 4 for 11 with six runner-up finishes for earnings of $157,220.
Letta’s Legacy became the fourth stakes winner produced by her dam, Sundayville Break.
