LeBlanc rides 3,000th winner

Jockey Kirk LeBlanc won the 3,000th race of his career Saturday night at Delta Downs, when he guided Dazzling N Red ($8.20) to a wire-to-wire victory in the 10th race. He was aboard the mare for trainer Charles Hukill. The win was one of three on the card for LeBlanc.

LeBlanc, 40, registered the first win of his career at Delta, in Vinton, La., on Dec. 1, 1984. LeBlanc is currently the fifth-leading rider at Delta. In his career he has had more than 23,500 mounts, and they have earned more than $38 million.
