Leave No Trace eyes second Grade 1 win in Frizette

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Leave No Trace, winner of the Grade 1 Spinaway on Sept. 4 at Saratoga, will make her start in the Grade 1, $400,000 Frizette on Oct. 2 at Aqueduct, trainer Phil Serpe said Friday.
Serpe said Leave No Trace remained in Saratoga following her 14-1 upset victory in the Spinaway. She will work there Sunday and then ship to Belmont on Monday.
“She showed talent before we ever left here,” said Serpe, referring to Belmont Park where Leave No Trace trained before winning two races at the Saratoga meet. “Obviously, you have to see the class factor. We’ll see where she fits.”
Serpe will send out his New York-bred maiden-winning filly Security Code out in next Friday’s $125,000 Joseph A. Gimma Stakes for statebred fillies at seven furlongs.
She is expected to meet a field that will include Lady Mine, Les Bon Temps, Miracle, Small Pebbles and Warsaichi.
