Nicole Russo|Jan 02, 2023
I'll Have Another 2012
Barbara D. Livingston Kentucky Derby winner I’ll Have Another will stand his first season at Ocean Breeze Ranch for $10,000. His oldest American foals will be yearlings in 2021.

While Kentucky dominates the nation by stallion population and activity – according to The Jockey Club’s Report of Mares Bred, 196 stallions in the state covered 61.4 percent of mares in 2022 – Daily Racing Form statistics showed stallion activity in 39 other states. The leading sires by earnings in their respective jurisdictions, alphabetically by state, were:

◗ Alabama: Doc N Bubba G (Cross Creek Outfitters) topped four stallions in the state.

◗ Arizona: Lotsa Mischief (Fleming Thoroughbred Farm), by Into Mischief, led the way with solid earnings of $869,361.

◗ Arkansas: Grade 1 winner The Big Beast (McDowell Farm) led a stallion roster that has been growing in recent years. His progeny earned $2,197,869 as he topped the sire list by a seven-figure margin.

The majority of I’ll Have Another’s earnings came from runners banking high purses in Japan, where he stood the first years of his career.

◗ Colorado: Save Big Money (Winner Maker Farms) was represented by runners who earned $249,258.

◗ Florida: Khozan (Journeyman Stallions) banked $4,594,461 to lead by a healthy margin over Brethren (Arindel Farm) at $3,161,254. Both are well-bred sons of Distorted Humor.
