RACE 6: STORM MIAMI (No. 1) has been knocking on the door, with four straight good graded stakes efforts. Her speed, combined with the rail draw, can have her in it from the start. She’s also entered in Saturday’s Grade 2 Flower Bowl at Belmont, so this would surely be a better spot. GRAYOSH (No. 8) is no doubt the one to beat for a top barn, having knocked heads with tougher while holding her own. It’s her first time here, but she’s handled numerous other courses, so odds are she’ll handle this place. (2)
RACE 7: READY AS EVER (No. 6) comes here in good form, and the trip and level suit. That was a tough bunch he faced at Colonial last time out. FORREST CITY (No. 5) has held good form since June, and the last time he ran on this track he won easily. (2)
RACE 8: SEA ISLE CITY (No. 2) graduated in style on the tricky Kentucky Downs course Sept. 7 and appears to be progressing. GYPSY LULLABY (No. 3) invades from Colonial off a smart second in a turf sprint stakes. She has enough pedigree to indicate this longer trip isn’t a bother. MILLFORD LASS (No. 10) rallied to win a Colonial turf sprint, so she handles turf. Her pedigree says this longer trip should suit. HIDDEN OVERTURE (No. 6) blasted rivals in the mud at Delaware but is bred for turf. (4)
RACE 9: BROADCAST (No. 5) is a maiden, but his Saratoga debut last month was smart as he showed he handles grass and this trip. PERFECT DREAM (No. 6) graduated gamely on Monmouth turf routing a couple months ago and was then a solid third in a Grade 3 turf route stakes on Sept. 5 at Saratoga. FULLCUP (No. 2) has speed and talent and if able to take to turf and a route could be dangerous. (3)
RACE 10: MOLITOR (No. 3) had a terrible start in his Sept. 5 debut at Colonial but kept to his task well. DIVINER (No. 5), likewise, got away slowly in his Sept. 5 debut at Monmouth but kept on well. A better start and improvement can make him dangerous as he also adds blinkers. (2)
