Laurel: Honorable Man rallies

DRF Now|Sep 10, 2005
Honorable Man
Jim McCue/Maryland Jockey Club Honorable Man wins the $100,000 Charles H. Hadry Stakes at Laurel Park.

Talk about consistent - the 6-year-old gelding Honorable Man, who has finished out of the money only once in his career, became a stakes winner with a 3 1/4-length victory in the $100,000 Charles H. Hadry Stakes at Laurel Park.

Racing in seventh early under Steve Hamilton, Honorable Man ($12.60) swung five wide and drew off in the stretch as pacesetter Saay Mi Name gave way to be second. Cherokee's Boy was two lengths behind Saay Mi Name in third.

Honorable Man covered one mile in 1:36.77 for trainer Ronald Cartwright and owners Albert and Eric Wirth.
