Laurel Park has canceled its Friday live racing program, citing the effects of last weekend’s winter storm and ongoing rain, the track’s parent company said on Thursday. Friday’s 10-race card was scheduled to be the first to be held at the track since Jan. 14. Like many tracks throughout the east, Laurel canceled its Friday, Saturday, and Sunday cards last weekend due to frigid weather conditions and snow. Since the winter storm moved out, the Mid-Atlantic has been hit with rainstorms, including on Thursday. Conditions are expected to improve on Friday, according to weather forecasts. Laurel has an 11-race card scheduled for Saturday, including two $100,000 stakes, with a first post of 11:40 a.m. :: Bet the races with a $200 First Deposit Match + FREE All Access PPs! Join DRF Bets.
