The late Arrogate sire of two Kentucky Oaks runners
?q=100)
Arrogate was posthumously represented by a Kentucky Oaks winner from his first crop, as Secret Oath won the 2022 edition of the filly classic nearly two years after the sire's death. Arrogate will have two representatives from his second, and penultimate, crop in this Friday's Oaks, in Grade 1-winning juvenile And Tell Me Nolies and last-out Grade 2 winner Affirmative Lady.
Arrogate, winner of four consecutive Grade 1/Group 1 races in the Travers Stakes, Breeders' Cup Classic, Pegasus World Cup, and Dubai World Cup, retired as North America's all-time leading money winner. He entered stud at Juddmonte Farm in Kentucky in 2018. However, nearing the end of his third season at stud, Arrogate was euthanized in June 2020, after a brief illness led to neurological symptoms.
Arrogate is represented by 324 foals from his three crops, according to Equineline statistics. He is the sire of seven stakes winners, with his first crop led by three-time graded stakes winner Secret Oath, who will look for another Grade 1 at Churchill Downs when she starts in the La Troienne on Friday.

His second crop is led by And Tell Me Nolies and Cave Rock, both Grade 1 winners last year, and Affirmative Lady, who earned her way into this Oaks by winning the Gulfstream Park Oaks in March.
Arrogate's third crop and final crop, who will race as 2-year-olds this year, has already sparked demand in the auction ring. At the Ocala Breeders' Sales Co.'s March sale of 2-year-olds in training, a full brother to Cave Rock sold for $1.05 million to Katsumi Yoshida. At last week's OBS spring sale, another Arrogate colt sold for $1.45 million to Amr Zedan, the second-highest price of the sale.
