Lane’s End in Versailles, Ky., released the advertised 2018 stud fees for three members of its stallion roster with notable runners in this year’s Breeders’ Cup, including Candy Ride, the sire of Classic winner Gun Runner, who will stand for $80,000.

Candy Ride, a son of Ride the Rails, stood the 2017 breeding season for $60,000, and will be the highest-priced stallion on the Lane’s End roster. In addition to Gun Runner, the favorite for Horse of the Year after his Del Mar victory, Candy Ride’s top runners of 2017 include Grade 1 winners Separationofpowers and Ascend, as well as Grade 2 winner Mastery and Grade 3 winner Unified.

Quality Road will stand for $70,000 following a win in the Juvenile Fillies by Caledonia Road and runner-up effort in the Distaff by Abel Tasman, winner of this year’s Kentucky Oaks. The Elusive Quality horse stood for $35,000 in 2017.

Also announced was Union Rags, who will be advertised for $60,000 after standing last year for $50,000. The son of Dixie Union is led this year by Grade 1 winners Free Drop Billy and Paradise Woods, as well as Grade 2 winner Tequilita.

“Competing at the highest level on the world stage is what we have always strived to achieve here at Lane’s End.” Bill Farish said. “We are grateful for our wonderful partners and breeders and look forward to sharing in continued success for many years to come.”
