Lake Ponchatrain win streak at 3 with Pink Ribbon Stakes

Lake Ponchatrain extended her win streak to three Saturday night, when she romped by 7 1/4 lengths over Renaissance Rosie in the $50,000 Misty Bennett Pink Ribbon Stakes at Charles Town.

Lake Ponchatrain ($4.40) was content to let the pace go in the Bennet - a seven-furlong race run around two turns - sitting off fractions of 23.07 seconds for the opening quarter and 45.99 for the half-mile. She moved to the fore in the stretch, then cruised home, covering the distance on a fast track in 1:24.59 and getting an 85 Beyer Speed Figure.
