ALBANY, Calif. - Lady Railrider ($7.60) raced wide but in the clear as she earned her first stakes victory in the $75,000 Pacific Heights Stakes at Golden Gate Fields on Saturday.\nComing off an allowance victory when she finished in a dead heat with stablemate Shes a Lucky Wager, Lady Railrider sat fourth while four wide around both turns.\n"I just tried to be patient," said winning jockey Frank Alvarado after he scored his third straight stakes victory. "At the three-eighths, I knew the leaders were done, and I had a lot of horse."\nWhen Alvarado asked her, Lady Railrider made a strong move to open a two-length lead at the top of stretch. Although she lugged in during much of the stretch run, Lady Railrider maintained her two-length advantage over the field.\nFilm Editor closed for second, two lengths behind Lady Railrider, who covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.82. Shes a Lucky Wager was third, another half-length back.\nA 3-year-old Cal-bred daughter of Ride the Rails, Lady Railrider earned $45,000 for her first stakes victory, lifting her career earnings to $134,700.
