RACE REPLAY IS NOT AVAILABLE
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Lady Eli, the winner of the Grade 1 Diana Stakes at Saratoga during opening weekend, returned to the work tab Sunday, breezing a half-mile in 49.04 seconds over the Oklahoma turf course.
Lady Eli went in company with Antonoe. The two were head-and-head throughout a first quarter-mile in 25.16 seconds and a second quarter in 23.88.
“Both horses looked terrific,” trainer Chad Brown said.

Lady Eli is pointing to the Grade 1 Flower Bowl at Belmont Park on Oct. 8. Antonoe, third, beaten one length, in the Diana, is being pointed to the Grade 2, $400,000 Ballston Spa Stakes at Saratoga on Aug. 26.
Also working Sunday on turf for Brown were the 3-year-old fillies Uni and Create a Dream, who went five furlongs together in 1:00.47, getting their final quarter in 23.53 seconds.
Uni, third in the Belmont Oaks on July 8, is being pointed to the Grade 2, $300,000 Lake Placid here on Aug. 19. Brown said he’s not sure yet where Create a Dream will make her seasonal debut. She has not run since winning the Chelsey Flower Stakes at Belmont last Oct. 30.
Mohaymen sent home, future unclear
Mohaymen, who was eased across the finish line when last in Sunday’s $100,000 Alydar Stakes, will be sent to Shadwell Farm in Kentucky, where his racing future will be determined following a physical examination.
Rick Nichols, the racing manager for Sheikh Hamdan’s Shadwell Stable, said, “Not sure yet,” when asked if Mohaymen would be retired.
“We want to bring him home and have a look and see what’s going on to see if there are any issues,” Nichols said. “We want to find out what’s going on with him, whether it’s something he can recover from or if it might be the end of the road. We don’t know yet.”
Mohaymen, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, won the first five races of his career, including the Nashua, Remsen, Holy Bull, and Fountain of Youth – all Grade 2 stakes. He has lost eight consecutive starts, including a fourth-place finish in the 2016 Kentucky Derby.
Meanwhile, McLaughlin said Zennor, the winner of Saturday’s $100,000 Lure Stakes at Saratoga, will be pointed to the Grade 2, $250,000 Bernard Baruch Handicap here Sept. 4.
Zennor earned a 101 Beyer Speed Figure in the Lure, his third straight win and his fourth from his last five starts.
