Krz Ruckus takes Shepperton

ETOBICOKE, Ontario - Krz Ruckus ($7) vaulted over the $1 million mark in career earnings with a game victory in Saturday's $133,000 Shepperton Stakes at Woodbine.
Krz Ruckus led through moderate fractions, while being pressed by Battlements, in the 6 1/2-furlong dash for Ontario-sired runners. Dillinger made a three-wide bid into contention on the turn, and hit the front at the eighth pole, but Krz Ruckus fought back in the final 70 yards to prevail by a nose. The final time was 1:16.37 seconds.
Patrick Husbands rode Krz Ruckus, who banked $79,800 for New Venture Stable and trainer Mike DePaulo. A 7-year-old by Bold Ruckus, Krz Ruckus has now won $1,015,275.
* Inish Glora ($3.40) rallied from third to take Saturday's co-feature, the $133,250 Victoriana Stakes, a 1 1/16-mile turf event for Ontario-sired fillies and mares.
Inish Glora, ridden by Todd Kabel, scored by 2 1/2 lengths over Heyahohowdy, in a final time of 1:41.97 seconds. Trained by Mac Benson, she earned $79,950 for owner Robert Costigan.
