Koch named to board of TOC

Billy Koch, the grandson of the late Hollywood Park director Howard Koch, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Thoroughbred Owners of California.

Koch, 35, replaces Ron Charles, who resigned in November to accept a position as executive director of Magna Entertainment's California tracks. Koch's term runs through the end of June.

Koch manages the Little Red Feather syndicate that owns Singletary, the winner of the Breeders' Cup Mile at Lone Star Park in October.
