Knockitdownhard, who is multiple stakes-placed on dirt, will take his show to turf for the featured seventh race Friday at Louisiana Downs, an optional $17,500 claimer at five furlongs on grass. He will be one of the top choices for his strong series of Beyer Speed Figures.
Others set to start include Bold Wolf, who on May 25 won over the local turf course in his first start at Louisiana Downs, and Where’s Cain, who might be sitting on a peak race in his third start since February.
◗ Arapahoe Park has named Friday’s fifth race in honor of Kerry Danyluk, a U.S. Army specialist who died serving in Afghanistan on April 15. He is the son of trainer Ken Danyluk.
