Breeders’ Cup Classic winner and likely Horse of the Year Knicks Go will be available for inspection for a brief spell at his future home, Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, Ky., before returning to the racetrack to prepare for his final start in January’s Pegasus World Cup. Stallions retiring following the Breeders’ Cup typically arrive at their new homes within days in order to be available to show to prospective breeders preparing for the season during the Kentucky fall mixed sales. The advent of the $3 million Pegasus at Gulfstream Park has required farms to adjust those timelines, as has been the case with star runners such as Accelerate, City of Light, California Chrome, and Gun Runner, all of whom made their final start in the Pegasus before beginning their stud career just weeks later. Knicks Go will be available for showings at Taylor Made beginning Friday and running through Tuesday before returning to Brad Cox at the racetrack. Taylor Made announced that Knicks Go will stand for $30,000 in his introductory season. The most expensive incoming stallion for 2022 is champion Essential Quality at $75,000 at Darley. Essential Quality was third in the Breeders’ Cup Classic and arrived at his new home on Tuesday night.
