Knicks Go to stand at Taylor Made

Knicks Go, a leading candidate for the Breeders’ Cup Classic, will stand at Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, Ky., upon the conclusion of his racing career, the farm announced Monday.
A stud fee for the 5-year-old Paynter horse, who races for the Korea Racing Authority, will be announced following his run in the Classic on Nov. 6 at Del Mar.
“The KRA’s goal was to buy and race in the U.S. with an eye toward developing stallions,” said Jun Park, racing manager for the KRA’s U.S. stable, said in a release. “As his name suggests, Knicks Go is a horse that was selected by a genome selection program called K-Nicks, which was designed to help select optimally excellent racehorses and stallions. To have done this for such a short time and to already have a multiple Grade 1 winner like Knicks Go is very gratifying. We are excited to stand him at Taylor Made, and we look forward to his next career as a stallion.”
Knicks Go has earned more than $5.5 million while capturing five graded stakes. As a juvenile, he scored a huge upset in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Futurity at Keeneland while trained by Ben Colebrook, then was a hard-fought second to champion Game Winner in the 2018 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.
Moved to the barn of trainer Brad Cox as an older horse, Knicks Go captured the 2020 Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile in track-record time at Keeneland, then kept rolling with a win in the Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream. In his three most recent starts, Knicks Go has rolled to victory in the Grade 3 Cornhusker, Grade 1 Whitney, and Grade 3 Lukas Classic.
