King Dan returns to turf

King Dan is making two key moves for the eighth race Sunday at Louisiana Downs, a $50,000 optional claimer at about 7 1/2 furlongs. He is moving back to the overnight ranks after finishing sixth in the Texas Mile April 24, and is getting back on the grass. King Dan's last win came on turf, in a second-level allowance at Fair Grounds in November.
