Brad Kimbrell, the longtime head of InCompass Solutions, has retired and will be replaced by Harold Palmer, The Jockey Club announced Tuesday. Kimbrell joined The Jockey Club in 1994 when the company purchased the precursor to InCompass. As president of the company, Kimbrell oversaw the development of several software suites and modules that were designed specifically to help racing offices better manage their tasks. “Brad has been a tireless and highly effective leader who pioneered the automation of the racing office and horsemen’s bookkeeper function,” said James Gagliano, chief operating officer of The Jockey Club, in a statement. Palmer was hired as a programmer and analyst for The Jockey Club in 1983 and was later promoted to vice president of software development. Since 2014, he has been president of The Jockey Club Technology Services, a position he will retain as he takes over the leading role at InCompass, the company said. Chris Dobbins, currently the vice president of business development for InCompass, is being promoted to senior vice president of the company and will be responsible for its day-to-day administration and operations.
