Kentucky Oaks future bettors have found a bargain in Search Results

Fans who backed Search Results at 31-1 when the Kentucky Oaks Future Wager was offered March 5-7 are taking the strongest edge into the filly classic Friday, considering the Chad Brown-trained filly is the co-second-choice at 3-1 on the Churchill morning line.
Malathaat, the 5-2 program choice, closed at 7-1 in the Oaks futures, while Travel Column, the other second choice on the program, was 6-1 in the futures.
Clairiere was the 7-2 favorite among the 23 separately listed entries in the Oaks futures; she’s the fourth program choice at 5-1 in a gate of 13 Friday. Another futures underlay is Will’s Secret at 14-1.
The mutuel field, the 24th or “all others” option, was 5-1 in the futures and will be represented by three starters Friday – Maracuja, Competitive Speed, and Millefeuille.
Combined handle (win and exacta) on the Oaks futures was $78,289, with another $69,162 bet into the Oaks-Derby double futures pool. Among the listed fillies who failed to make the race were Vequist (19-1), Dayoutoftheoffice (22-1), and Simply Ravishing (15-1), the respective 1-2-4 finishers in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies.
