Kentucky Derby: Uncle Mo to work with Stay Thirsty on Sunday

Jay Privman|Apr 29, 2011

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Uncle Mo and Stay Thirsty, the two Kentucky Derby prospects whom Todd Pletcher trains for owner Mike Repole, will work in company on Sunday morning in their final preps for the May 7 Derby, Pletcher said Friday morning.

Uncle Mo originally was scheduled to have his final work on Monday, but Pletcher prefers to have his final works for Saturday races the previous Sunday. Pletcher moved the work up a day after seeing that Uncle Mo looked well Friday morning and because of a dicey weather forecast here for Sunday and Monday.

Stay Thirsty always had been penciled in for his final work on Sunday.
