THETACTICS OFDANCE defeated a pair of next-out winners in a game performance at Belmont Park two starts back, then was no match for 3/5 favorite Melhor Ainda in the Capades on Bastille Day. She's been freshened up by master horseman Bill Mott after pairing up Beyer tops, and projects for a nice stalking trip off a solid pace.
HONEY ROSE has never gone past 5 furlongs in her career, but the Group 1 winner makes her first start for the always-dangerous Pletcher barn, and will get Lasix for the assignment. Don't be surprised if she is quick from the gate.
PRETTY JANE was a course and distance winner here in 2004, and she was making up late ground in a key graded race going short at Woodbine last time. A stakes winner at Churchill Downs this year, Pretty Jane may show better early zip stretching back out in distance.
DASH OF HUMOR ran a big race from a tough outside post at Ellis Park last time out as she swept to the lead only to be run down in the closing stages. She is racing in career form, and has the tactical speed to be a strong contender in this spot.
DYNAMIST prepped locally with a nice win in the Pleasant Temper, and she boasts a powerful late kick. Expect her to come running for a piece at the very least.
