NINETYFOUR EXPOS has proven speed and may look to steal this. He certainly is a threat to do just that in his route debut if allowed to set his own pace on a loose lead (3).

RACE 8: LADY SPEIGHTSPEARE won her last two, scoring when on the lead two back and from just off the pace in her latest, and that versatility may give her the edge she needs in this Seaway Stakes. SOUPER SENSATIONAL ran well in defeat in her last pair, on the turf, but she's at least as good on the main track. GOLDEN VISION is an upgrade candidate after running against a speed-favoring race flow in each of her last two, as denoted by the bold "S" symbols in her past performance lines; upgrade candidate. HAZELBROOK eyes her fourth straight win and her third consecutive stakes score (4).

RACE 9: The 2021 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner, MODERN GAMES, returns to North America seeking his first win since May, but he comes off a game second in the Grade 1 Sussex behind the top-rated Baaeed, who returned to win the Juddmonte International Stakes to stay perfect through 10 starts in his next start (1).

RACE 10: CAIRO CONSORT has shown speed but also a strong late kick in her sprints. Though she goes long for the first time, her breeding suggests the extra ground in the Natalma should pose no problem. G LAURIE impressed in that Colonial debut and figures to get more pace to chase Saturday than she did in that race. LAST CALL is a maiden trying winners, but she may fall into an ideal trip behind the speeds. She adds blinkers, a strong angle for the barn (3).

RACE 11: SPEIGHTSTOWN SHIRL ran a solid race in her first start off the long layoff, and she's a big threat Saturday if she can run back to that race in her second start off the bench. She stretches out, but she's run well going longer in the past. Last time out, BIG BAND LUZIANN rated effectively and scored, posting a career-best figure along the way. She may find herself on the lead in this final leg of the sequence, which may be a little light on pace (2).
