Disappointed as the favorite here, but she hardly ran a bad race as she was caught behind a controlled pace yet rallied well for the show. She can make amends in her return, likely vs. $8,000 claiming nonwinners of three.

Finish: 3rd by 6 1/4
Beyer: 51
Didn't break well here in his first start off a short break and then was rushed up to contend, dueling with two rivals (including the eventual winner, a well-meant firster). He weakened to finish third but should be a handful in his return, given a clean getaway.
