Keeneland September: Hips to watch as sale end nears with Friday's beginning of Book 6
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The following are horses to watch in Friday's penultimate session of the Keeneland September yearling sale, the opener of Book 6, which closes the auction.
Horses were selected largely based on their pedigrees, and these selections factor in catalog updates and sale outs through Thursday morning, although that could change rapidly. There are a significant number of withdrawals for the Book 6 sessions on both Friday and Saturday.
Hip 3621, filly by Mitole - Scolara, by Quiet American. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales, agent.
This is the first crop for champion sprinter Mitole. Multiple stakes winner Scolara, who was graded-placed, is the dam of four winners from as many starters, including stakes-placed Prize Fight.
Hip 3671, colt by Funtastic - Upfront Girl, by War Front. Consigned by Denali Stud, agent.
Freshman sire Funtastic is from the family of Horse of the Year honorees Saint Liam and Gun Runner, the latter a breakout young sire. This is the immediate family of multiple Grade 1 winner Cavorting, dam of Grade 1 winner Clairiere.
Hip 3715, filly by Maximus Mischief - Brittney Brat, by Pikepass. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales, agent.
This is the first crop for Maximus Mischief, a precocious juvenile by Into Mischief. This filly is a half-sister to stakes winner and producer Yucca, Group 3-placed Truck Salesman, and stakes-placed Bruvver Max. Multiple graded stakes-winning millionaire Silver Goblin appears on the page.

Mountain Dove, a half-sister to Grade 1-placed Mountain Town, is from the immediate family of Broodmare of the Year Dear Birdie, dam of Belmont Stakes winner Birdstone and Kentucky Oaks winner and champion Bird Town, among other winners and producers.
