Keeneland renovating

The Keeneland Association's sales pavilion, built in 1969, will undergo renovation and expansion, the auction house announced Wednesday.

The work, which has already begun, should be complete in August 2005. The construction will be done in three phases to accommodate the 2005 auctions.

Among the new features planned are a 5,000-square-foot space to house the repository, more and larger conference rooms, a kitchen, reconfigured dining rooms, a business center with concierge-style services, new seats in the arena, high-speed wireless Internet access, upgraded sound system and bid boards, and a new lounge and bar.
