Keeneland November: Tapit filly first weanling to seven-figure mark

A Tapit filly out of multiple Grade 1 winner Marketing Mix sold to Shadwell for $1.1 million at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale on Tuesday, becoming the first weanling of the sale to reach the seven-figure mark.

The filly was consigned by Hill 'n' Dale Sales, as agent.

The filly is the first foal of of Marketing Mix, a Medaglia d'Oro mare who bankrolled more than $1.3 million while winning or placing in 11 graded stakes events, with Grade 1 triumphs in the Gamely and Rodeo Drive Stakes. She was second in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf and was classic-placed in Canada.
